3D Pioneers Challenge: Call for Submissions

In partnership with various high profile international partners and federations from the 3D world, Messe Erfurt in co-operation with d.sign21, office for design and consulting, is launching the 3D Pioneers Challenge.

The FIT Group is pleased to be one of the participating partners for this challenge.

This international competition for additive manufacturing technologies is aimed at designers who are breaking new ground in the field of 3D printing and who understand the key trends in the industry. In this starter round, the challenge will focus on Architecture, Automotive, Fashion, Design and Medicine, with a total of EUR 15,000 of prize money to award across these verticals.

Carl Fruth, CEO at FIT, underlines the importance of the event: "We are pleased to be a co-operating partner to the 3D Pioneers Challenge because it is essential to adequately prepare industry for digital manufacturing processes and products. Minor changes to existing products and processes do not represent innovation, but thinking out of the box and radical new concepts do."

Basic questions that cover the aim of the competition are:

An international, high-class jury will decide upon the quality of the submissions. The projects of the finalists will be presented in a special exhibition during Rapid.Tech & FabCon 3.D, 14th to 16th of June 2016 in Erfurt. The winning exhibits will then be taken on a roadshow to international fairs.
